Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including stocking shelves and merchandising products as needed. Answer customer inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Support inventory management by assisting with stocking, product placement, and inventory counts. Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to maximize sales opportunities through effective upselling techniques. Skills Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions. Previous cashiering or retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and courteously. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team. Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos enhances your ability to support store operations. Excellent phone etiquette, customer service orientation, and the ability to handle cash handling responsibilities with integrity are essential for success in this role.
