Job Description
Raptor Recycle and Transfer is currently looking for a Scale Clerk to work at our transfer station in Smithville, MO . In this position you will be weighing trucks in and out of the facility and also interacting with the public. You would also be helping keep the yard picked up from trash and debris. You would split the shift by working the yard for half of your shift and working the scale house the other half. You must have excellent customer service, good computer skills, and cash handling experience. Bi-lingual preferred. Responsibilities would include but not limited to: Greet and direct all customers upon entry of the transfer station. Weigh incoming loads and print weight tickets Answering phone calls and providing information or transferring to appropriate staff member in a professional and enthusiastic fashion. Track weight information from scale to computer system and obtain appropriate signatures. Review cameras to ensure that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any visible inappropriate material. Accepting or rejecting loads based on content. Assist in reconciliation of daily cash and credit card transactions. End of day reporting. Ensure that customers are aware of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements. Provide general upkeep of the scale house. Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy. Help maintain the cleanliness of the yard by picking up trash. Perform other job duties as needed. This position is full-time working Monday - Saturday every week.
