Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our dynamic retail team! Responsibilities Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions with precision using POS (Point of Sale) systems. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product questions, offering product demos, and guiding them through their purchase decisions. Manage cash drawer handling responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Stock shelves and merchandise displays to ensure the store remains organized, inviting, and well-stocked for customers. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Conduct product demos when appropriate to educate customers about features and benefits of new or popular items. Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring compliance with visual standards. Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves and participating in stock counts to keep inventory accurate. Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers alike. Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with POS systems and retail math concepts such as making change accurately is highly desirable. Supervising experience is a plus, especially if it involved overseeing cash handling or customer service teams. Bilingual abilities are an advantage to better serve diverse customer bases. Strong phone etiquette skills and the ability to communicate clearly in busy environments are essential. Experience with upselling techniques, product demos, merchandising, and stock management will set you apart as a top candidate.
