Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale system accurately to process sales and handle cash, credit, or debit transactions with confidence. Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demos when needed. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and properly displayed. Manage stock levels on the sales floor by assisting with merchandising and stocking shelves efficiently. Follow proper phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries outside of in-store interactions. Ensure all transactions are completed with accuracy using basic retail math skills and cash handling procedures. Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers in a friendly manner. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for retail math and cash transactions. Customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences.
