Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, and guiding shoppers through their purchases Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity, including balancing registers at shift end Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction Support supervisory staff by overseeing daily operations, supervising team members, and ensuring store policies are followed Use bilingual skills when needed to communicate effectively with diverse customers in our grocery store setting Requirements Prior retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette for customer interactions over the phone or in person Knowledge of retail math for cash handling, pricing, and discounts Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately Familiarity with operations including stocking, merchandising, and customer service standards Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve our diverse customer base effectively Demonstrated ability to upsell products.
