Cashier and Stocker

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Stocker to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service at the cash register while also managing inventory and stocking shelves. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks associated with heavy lifting and inventory management. Duties Operate the cash register efficiently, processing customer transactions accurately. Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area to enhance customer satisfaction. Stock shelves with merchandise, ensuring products are properly displayed and easily accessible. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels and assisting in inventory management tasks. Load and unload products using a pallet jack as needed, ensuring safe handling of merchandise. Perform heavy lifting when required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Package items for customers efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Qualifications Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele; multilingual abilities are a plus. Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Experience in inventory control or management is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods. Proficiency in using equipment such as pallet jacks for loading and unloading products is preferred.
