Role:
Join The Pickled Herring as a Cashier and be the friendly face that greets our valued customers! In this dynamic role, you'll ensure smooth transactions and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere in our vibrant seafood market.
Responsibilities:
Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the register. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance customer experience. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting with product selections. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and integrity. Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless shopping experience. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge and promotions.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy. Positive attitude and a passion for customer service. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
