We are seeking dedicated and friendly cashiers to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere. A background in food service or retail is preferred, as well as experience with various Point of Sale (POS) systems, specifically Toast POS. Duties Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using Toast POS system. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with their needs. Handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. Upsell menu items and promote special offers to enhance the customer experience. Maintain cleanliness in the work area & restaurant. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to assist customers effectively. Perform basic math calculations for transactions and ensure accurate retail math practices. Qualifications Previous experience in cashiering or a similar role within the food industry or retail environment is preferred. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation guidelines is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus but not required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining individual responsibilities.
