Job Description
Position Summary The Stocker/Cashier ensures that merchandise is well-stocked, organized, and attractively displayed while providing friendly and efficient checkout service to customers. This dual role keeps the store looking its best and delivers a positive shopping experience. Key Responsibilities Stocking & Merchandising Receive, unpack, and stock incoming merchandise on shelves, bins, and displays. Rotate inventory following FIFO (first-in/first-out) guidelines to maintain freshness and reduce shrinkage. Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled shelves and stockroom. Assist with setting up promotional displays and signage. Cashiering Greet customers promptly and courteously. Operate POS system to process cash, credit, and other transactions accurately. Bag or package items efficiently while maintaining product safety. Handle returns, exchanges, and price checks in accordance with store policy. General Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages or overstock. Follow all loss prevention, safety, and sanitation procedures. Provide basic product information and direct customers to requested items. Support other team members and assist with special tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required. Ability to lift up to [30-50] lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Basic math and computer/POS skills. Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
