Description:

Feedstore cashiers provide customers with fast and friendly service while ensuring accuracy at the sales counter. Cashiers scan items, ensure that prices are quantities are correct, and collect payments.

Requirements:

Essential Functions Operate all checking equipment, count money and make change accurately Operate tools and equipment safely Perform general stocking duties Perform general cleaning duties Comply with Loss Prevention guidelines Greet and talk politely with customers Help and assist customers in finding merchandise and providing information Comply with supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude Function as a team member and get along with others Adhere to daily work schedule Work weekends, any shift, holidays, and overtime as needed Work in a fast-paced environment Perform other duties as needed and assigned Knowledge, skills, and abilities Basic math and computer skills Knowledge of point-of-sale systems Cash handling Phone etiquette Basic sales knowledge Industry knowledge Customer service Positive attitude Friendly and approachable Self-motivated Multi-tasking Attention to detail Physical requirements Grasping, bending, twisting, squatting, Move, lift (minimum height of 4' on a regular basis), and carry a minimum of 50lbs Walk, stand, climb ladders, be on feet the entire shift Push/pull a heavily loaded pallet with a manual pallet jack Push/pull a loaded stock cart Work around animals; fowl, rodents, etc. Work around hay, dust, and other outdoor plant pollens Education and Experience A high school diploma or equivalent preferred 1+ years of retail Cashier experience preferred Age requirement Minimum age 18 Additional Navajo Speaking preferred Benefits available: Vacation / Paid Time Off Sick Leave Profit Sharing Employee Service Rewards Employee Charge Program Development Plans Health Insurance Disability Insurance If you need assistance completing the application process please contact Human Resources at (505) 722-4366 ext 143.
