Cashier - Rio Rancho (Part Time) Fuego Enterprises Laguna Burger Rio Rancho, NM Job Details Part-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Bartender License Employee relationship building Food Handler Certification Full Job Description The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, processing transactions accurately, and preparing food according to company standards. This role requires maintaining a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment while ensuring food quality, sanitation, and compliance with food safety regulations. Cashiers are expected to operate the point-of-sale system, handle cash without discrepancies, verify identification for alcohol purchases, restock products, assist with inventory, and promote products to enhance sales. The position also involves building positive relationships with guests through friendly, efficient service and minimizing wait times by working with urgency and professionalism. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to Fuego's core values, policies, and procedures. They should maintain a positive attitude, assist in training new team members, and foster a respectful, collaborative work environment with coworkers and customers. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, food service experience, and cash-handling skills. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, obtain and maintain ServSafe Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire, and possess a valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit. The role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced restaurant setting, including standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, reaching, and working evenings, weekends, holidays, and other extended hours as needed.
