Duties Operate cash registers efficiently, accurately processing retail sales transactions and handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and providing product information. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and sales. Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising displays to maintain an organized and inviting store environment. Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Manage the cash drawer with integrity, balancing registers at shift end and reconciling discrepancies promptly. Support team members with supervising experience by guiding new staff on store procedures and customer service standards when needed. Skills Proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations for seamless transactions. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers in both bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) environments. Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone. Retail store product knowledge combined with merchandising skills to enhance presentation and sales. Experience in grocery or retail sales environments, demonstrating familiarity with retail math, upselling techniques, and stock management. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and processing transactions efficiently. Supervising experience is a plus for supporting team leadership efforts during shifts. Knowledge of retail sales techniques including product demos, upselling strategies, and customer service excellence.
