Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role involves operating POS systems, assisting customers, and supporting store operations to ensure smooth daily functions. Previous retail or grocery store experience are preferred to enhance customer interactions and sales effectiveness. Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and attention to detail Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including merchandising and stocking shelves as needed Assist with product demos and upselling to promote store products and increase sales Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors using professional phone etiquette Support inventory management through stocking, organizing, and merchandising products Uphold store policies, safety standards, and cleanliness guidelines Experience Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments is preferred Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math is advantageous Strong communication skills, basic math skills, and excellent customer service orientation are essential for success in this role
