Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Deli Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face and efficient operator behind the deli counter. Pay includes tips. Hours 6am-2pm. Weekends required. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders at the deli counter, providing excellent customer service throughout Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately Prepare and assemble deli items, including slicing meats, cheeses, and other food products, adhering to food safety standards Manage cash register operations, processing cash, credit card payments, and handling cash handling responsibilities with precision Upsell additional products by recommending complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing counters, utensils, equipment, and adhering to sanitation protocols Operate kitchen equipment safely for food preparation tasks while ensuring all food handling procedures meet safety regulations Manage customer orders efficiently using food service customer order management systems to minimize wait times Support food safety management practices by following proper sanitation procedures and monitoring for cleanliness standards Assist in processing cash transactions accurately while providing friendly service that encourages repeat business Experience Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred Demonstrated experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Food handling or culinary experience that includes operating kitchen equipment and preparing deli items Strong time management skills to handle multiple customer orders efficiently during busy periods Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in retail or restaurant settings Basic math skills for cash register operations and transaction processing Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques Experience working in a café or retail environment within the food industry is a plus Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering quality food and outstanding service!
