Responsibilities Stock shelves efficiently by organizing products, ensuring accurate placement, and maintaining inventory levels. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely. Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience. Manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity, including cash register operations and balancing drawers at shift end. Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, merchandising displays, and stockrooms to promote a tidy shopping environment. Communicate effectively with team members and customers using clear phone etiquette and friendly interaction skills. Support merchandising efforts by setting up promotional displays and ensuring products are well-presented on the sales floor. Requirements Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued to assist a diverse customer base. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management are necessary. Experience with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and upselling techniques will be advantageous. Demonstrated ability to supervise or mentor team members is a plus for those interested in supervisory roles. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising.
