Cashier Dayton Live - 3.8 Dayton, OH Job Details Full-time $13 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work experience Computer skills Full Job Description DAYTON LIVE, located in the heart of downtown Dayton, is one of the city's premier, not-for-profit arts organizations and one of the largest real estate owner in downtown proper. We present more than 300 performances for all ages and interests each year, including touring Broadway, comedians, concerts, films, and family shows. We operate and maintain the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, Victoria Theatre, the PNC Arts Annex, and Metropolitan Arts Center (home of The Loft Theatre) for the benefit of the community and the arts organizations that use them. We also own and operate The Arts Garage.
Purpose:
The Arts Garage Booth Attendant is responsible for greeting arriving guests, assisting them as they enter and exit the parking area. Top-Notch guest experiences are vital to this role's success, so going above and beyond is the common service level. This position also provides administrative support to the VP of Facilities, as required.
Essential Functions:
Greet and welcome guests in an attentive, at-your-service readiness. Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all customers, patrons, and co-workers. Provide exceptional services to all guests in a confident, friendly, and efficient manner Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests and parkers Provide exceptional services to guests and parkers in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients Assist with questions about the facility and local area as needed Maintain cleanliness by picking up trash, cleaning signage, and other general lot maintenance Responsible for money handling of a cash drawer and accountability of those funds Balance cash drawer and garage banks. Resolves customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1-2 years of experience in parking garage preferred.
Requirements:
Must be comfortable sitting, standing, and walking during your shift. Must be comfortable working in a confined space. Must be comfortable working outdoors, exposed to weather (extreme hot or cold temperatures). Must provide excellent customer service, always going above the call of duty. Proficient computer navigation skills, including the ability to access company email systems. Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds. Must have a good work ethic and be a team player. Must maintain a groomed, professional appearance.
