In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions, stocking shelves with grocery twice a week, and assisting in the deli if needed. Your proactive approach will ensure our store runs smoothly, products are well-presented, and customers leave satisfied. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop retail skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting where your enthusiasm and dedication truly make a difference. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product recommendations Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, handle cash and card transactions, and ensure proper cash handling procedures Maintain clean and organized shelves through effective merchandising and stocking practices Upsell products by highlighting specials or new items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Assist in the deli if needed to keep up with the demands of the store Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock checks, and assisting with deliveries Assist with product displays and promotional setups to attract customer attention and boost sales Perform general store duties such as cleaning, organizing, and ensuring safety standards are met Experience Previous retail or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership opportunities Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and professionally Basic math skills for cash register operations, sales calculations, and inventory counts Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is beneficial for understanding store flow and customer service expectations Join us in creating a lively shopping experience where every customer feels valued!
