Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and efficiently, facilitating smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Duties Coordinate food orders from the kitchen to ensure timely delivery to customers. Monitor the preparation of food items to guarantee quality and presentation standards are met. Utilize POS and other point-of-sale systems to track orders and manage inventory efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations. Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are properly sanitized before serving. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to resolve any issues that may arise during service. Implement time management strategies to prioritize tasks during peak hours. Support sales initiatives by providing excellent customer service and assisting with retail math calculations when necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred. Strong skills in food preparation and sanitation practices. Proficiency in using POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Basic math skills for managing orders and inventory effectively. Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure. Strong communication skills to liaise between kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
