Part-time Counter Service

At Birdie's Café & Creamery, our counter staff are the friendly faces that welcome guests, take orders, and keep everything running smoothly up front. This role includes greeting customers, answering questions about our menu, handling cash/register transactions, preparing simple items like ice cream or drinks, and ensuring guests leave with a smile. Counter Help team members are key to creating a warm, inviting experience, whether someone is stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or a sweet ice cream treat. Responsibilities Greet guests and take food/ice cream orders accurately. Operate the POS system, handle cash, and process card payments. Prepare and serve drinks, ice cream scoops, milkshakes, and other quick items. Keep the counter, dining area, and service stations clean and stocked. Assist with packaging take-out and grab-and-go items. Provide friendly, efficient customer service at all times. Qualifications Previous customer service or food service experience preferred. Strong communication skills and a friendly, welcoming attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Basic math skills for handling cash and making change. Team-oriented mindset and reliability.
