Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Part-Time Cashier to join our smoke shop team. As a cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring smooth transactions, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in our store.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers entering the store with a friendly demeanor. Assist customers in finding products and provide knowledgeable recommendations. Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Process sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) system. Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking shelves as needed. Ensure compliance with age-restricted product sales regulations. Answer customers' questions and provide information on products or store policies. Uphold store standards for merchandise presentation and cleanliness. Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and returns professionally. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a retail or customer service position is preferred. Basic understanding of smoke shop products and terminology is advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle cash accurately. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
