Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and friendly Cashier to join our retail team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process purchases, returns, and exchanges Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure attractive presentation Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity Assist customers with questions about products, store policies, and promotions using excellent phone etiquette Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and inventory counts Promote a friendly atmosphere by engaging customers in conversation and offering personalized assistance Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or training new staff Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain products and store policies Basic math skills for quick calculations during transactions and inventory counts Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and retail sales strategies Join our team to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail setting!
