Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their checkout needs using POS (Point of Sale) systems. Process transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card payments, and returns. Provide product demos when appropriate to inform customers about featured items or new arrivals. Upsell related products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring shelves are stocked with essential items. Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills. Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and assisting with inventory management. Requirements Previous experience with POS systems and cashiering is highly preferred. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus. Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers confidently. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for retail math and cash handling tasks. Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments is beneficial. Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting moderate loads, and working flexible hours as needed.
