Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, food industry experience, and the ability to handle transactions accurately. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, POS systems, and retail operations while providing excellent service to our customers. Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants, cafes, or grocery stores is preferred. The Counter/Cashier will be responsible for ensuring a clean, welcoming atmosphere and delivering a positive experience for all patrons. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, friendly service Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS Assist with food preparation and food handling duties as needed Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including bussing tables and sanitation tasks Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently Support other team members with food service, serving, and basic kitchen tasks Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during shifts Follow proper sanitation procedures and uphold health regulations Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant, café, or retail environment preferred Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations during shifts Food safety certification or knowledge is advantageous Experience with food preparation, bussing, and sanitation practices preferred Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a quick service & fast food restaurant environment Prior cashiering experience in grocery stores or similar retail settings is beneficial This position provides an engaging work environment where you can develop valuable skills in the food industry while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
