Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Cashier to join our retail team! Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases using POS (Point of Sale) systems. Accurately process cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout areas, including stocking shelves and merchandising displays. Answer customer inquiries via phone with professional etiquette and offer helpful solutions. Support inventory management by assisting with stocking, product placement, and inventory counts. Ensure excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, fostering loyalty. Skills Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions. Previous supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team. Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers about features. Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Strong communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette. Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales processes in a grocery store or similar environment. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail calculations.
