Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, processes transactions efficiently, and ensures a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and assisting with product questions Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and confidence, ensuring proper cash handling procedures Upsell products and promote store promotions or special offers to enhance sales opportunities Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies as needed Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about new or featured items Requirements Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers at shift end Knowledge of POS systems and retail math concepts is highly desirable Excellent phone etiquette for answering inquiries professionally over the phone Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and work flexible hours as needed Join us if you're passionate about delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail setting!
