The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen attention to detail. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers while maintaining the integrity of cash handling procedures. Your ability to engage with customers, manage transactions accurately, and support the overall operations of our retail environment will contribute significantly to our store's success. Duties Process customer transactions efficiently using the cash register and Point of Sale (POS) systems. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy and integrity. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs. Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure an organized shopping environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area. Support sales initiatives by promoting store products and services effectively. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly while maintaining professionalism. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations. Requirements Proven experience in cash handling, preferably in a retail or grocery store setting. Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers is highly desirable. Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries when necessary. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Previous experience in retail sales or supervising is a plus. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer engagement. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
