Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Gas Station Cashier, where you will be the friendly face and efficient operator at our convenience store and fueling station. Your energetic attitude and attention to detail will ensure customers enjoy a seamless experience—from fueling up their vehicles to browsing our retail offerings. You'll handle retail sales transactions, operate the cash register with precision, and provide exceptional customer service that keeps patrons coming back. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales skills, demonstrate product knowledge, and contribute to a welcoming environment for all visitors. Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately during retail transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Greet customers warmly, providing friendly and professional service at all times Assist customers with product demos, answer questions about store items, and promote upselling opportunities to increase sales Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area, stock shelves, and ensure products are properly merchandised Handle cash register operations efficiently, including balancing the cash drawer at shift end and managing retail math calculations Support inventory management by stocking shelves and assisting with product replenishment as needed Provide excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering customer inquiries over the phone Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is highly desirable Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are a plus Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required Knowledge of grocery store products, merchandising techniques, and retail sales strategies will set you apart Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-notch service while sharpening your sales expertise!
