Cashier Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Cashier to join our refinery-based team. This position primarily focuses on fast, accurate point-of-sale (POS) transactions while maintaining excellent customer service in a high-traffic, industrial environment. The role also requires flexibility to assist with deli operations, food preparation, stocking, and maintaining cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate POS systems efficiently and accurately, handling cash, card, and digital payments Provide fast, friendly, and professional customer service to refinery employees and visitors Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout and sales area Restock shelves, coolers, and merchandise as needed Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items Deli Support Duties (as needed): Assist with basic food preparation (sandwiches, hot items, etc.) Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Serve food items quickly and accurately during busy periods Maintain cleanliness of deli equipment and food prep areas

Qualifications:

Previous cashier or retail experience preferred Experience with POS systems and cash handling Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Willingness to cross-train and assist in deli operations Basic understanding of food safety practices (or willingness to learn)

Work Environment:

Fast-paced refinery setting with high customer volume during peak hours May require standing for extended periods Exposure to both retail and food service environments Must follow all site safety policies and procedures
