At Utah Valley University, the Bursar's Office serves as an essential resource for students, employees, and community members by providing responsive customer service and support related to payments, account management, and financial transactions. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping individuals navigate questions, resolve account concerns, and access the information they need to successfully manage their university business. Through daily interactions with a wide range of customers, this position contributes to a positive and supportive campus experience. The position is ideal for professionals who enjoy helping others, solving problems, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will develop expertise in financial operations, university processes, and customer relations while building valuable communication and organizational skills. Your work will play an important role in supporting the university's mission by ensuring efficient, accurate, and courteous service for the campus community. Provides comprehensive customer service to students, the public, and employees campus-wide. Reviews student accounts and advises students regarding payment options and financial policies. Acts as a resource in resolving departmental deposit and student account issues. Applies charges and/or payments received from the window, mail, dropbox, and phone to the student account. Reconciles daily transactions and prepares funds for bank deposits. Maintains secure vault operations. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. A high school diploma (or equivalent) and two years of related experience. Knowledge of money control and security. Knowledge of basic accounting processes and procedures. Complete understanding of confidentiality and right to privacy issues. Skills in the use of computers and software applications. Communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage funds, reconcile, and analyze account information. Ability to follow directions and work well under pressure. Ability to perform required tasks with precision and accuracy; must be detail-oriented.
