Responsibilities Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system to process sales quickly and accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product demos or recommendations to enhance their shopping experience. Stock shelves efficiently by receiving deliveries, organizing products, and ensuring merchandise is visually appealing through effective merchandising techniques. Assist customers with locating items, upselling relevant products, and promoting store promotions or sales to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and store aisles, adhering to safety standards and store policies. Support inventory management by conducting regular stock checks, restocking shelves as needed, and documenting stock levels accurately. Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging politely with customers over the phone or in person, providing clear information about products or store policies. Experience Previous retail experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for customer service is essential. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math will help you succeed in this role. Supervising experience in retail or related fields is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities. Experience in grocery stores or similar environments will give you an edge in understanding store operations. Strong communication skills combined with good phone etiquette will enable you to connect confidently with customers and team members alike.
