Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions quickly and securely Greet customers warmly, providing friendly and professional phone etiquette when assisting over the phone Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling relevant items to enhance their shopping experience Conduct product demos when needed to showcase features and benefits of merchandise Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining a tidy sales floor Engage in retail math to ensure accurate register balancing and inventory tracking Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a positive shopping environment Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to connect effectively with diverse customers Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing registers confidently Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Experience in supervising or leading small teams is a plus but not mandatory Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is advantageous Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service!
