JOB DESCRIPTION
Full Time or Part Time, 20-40 hours a week Act as a Cashier and Utility Clerk of the store. Adhere to the Lead Cashier and Supervisor's guidance, store guidelines and policies. Ensure that the store and facilities are ready for business the following morning. Learn and master all processes in the New Hire Training Manual. Duties will include, but not limited to: customer service, cashiering, processing customers in an accurate, friendly and efficient manner, notifying management of system errors, system input, manipulation of the POS system, memorization of essential PLU codes, stocking and rotation of product, cleaning and small maintenance of facilities, completion of the closing checklist to or above standard. Following health regulations and safety standards. Serve as a caretaker of the register/front-end area. This duty involves ensuring that management has accurate status on what supplies need to be ordered (receipt tapes, bags, etc…). The cleanliness and orderliness of the front end is also a responsibility, to include, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning, window washing, apparatus/equipment cleaning. Assist in the general operation of the store, when necessary, to include vendor affairs, deposit returns, etc…Learn and master the liquor POS sales and closeout processes. Act as a Utility Clerk , responsible for reception of inventory, stocking and rotation of product, cleaning and small maintenance of facilities. Serve as a caretaker of the receiving area and backroom, to include, but not limited to sweeping, cleaning, window washing, apparatus/equipment cleaning. Organization of storage and back stock areas. Merchandising of back stock. Duties will include, but not limited to: customer service, cashiering, memorization of essential PLU codes notifying management of system errors, system input, manipulation of the POS system assist in the general operation of the store when necessary, to include vendor affairs, deposit returns, etc… Inform the management of short-dated items so they can be put on sale.Cashier Requirements:
High school diploma/GED preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Working knowledge of grocery product, hygiene, safety, and food preparation. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Basic math skills. Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job such as lifting and carrying heavy items, climbing ladders, squatting, and standing for long periods of time. Standing in position and walking for long periods of time. Utilize various hand toolsCompensation:
$17.50 to $19.00 per hour. Starting wage is based on prior experience. 60 HRS P.T.O. after 1 consecutive year of employment (Standard 40hr P.T.O. formula will apply for 1st year), 100 HRS P.T.O after 2 consecutive years of employment Health, Prescription, Dental, Vision (65% paid policy premium, 35% pre-tax payroll deduction) after 90 days if elected Combined Accident Supplemental insurance policy ($24 of total paid) after 90 days if elected 401k Retirement Account with 4% Employer Match after 90 days if elected 20% Employee Discount Performance Bonus- Based upon the overall performance of the store annually, pro-rated for time and effort as observed by the management and the review process.
