We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and be comfortable handling transactions. Duties Greet guests upon arrival at counter Answer telephones Take guest orders via phone or in person Upsell items to guests Use POS to accurately enter orders Get payment and complete transaction Assemble items for each ticket and prepare for carryout or delivery Ensure all orders have appropriate utensils and condiments Notify the team of any shortages Responsible for cash handling and credit card processing Carry out additional duties to prepare food, deal with special guests, maintain cash drawer Maintain and stock salad bar, buffet station and drink fountain Make sure all front of house areas including counter tops, dining room and restrooms are kept clean Qualifications Previous experience as a cashier preferred, particularly in a restaurant. Class 12 MAST Permit required within 30 days of hiring Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interactions.
