Job Description
Overview The Cashier/Customer Service Team Member is responsible for providing an energetic, friendly, and accommodating experience for both guests and coworkers. This role ensures efficient transaction processing, store cleanliness, and excellent customer service. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a customer-focused environment and enjoy working as part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction- Engage with customers in a positive and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming store environment. Transaction Processing
- Operate the cash register to process all in-store transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit payments. Store Cleanliness & Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized store, including floors, work areas, and restrooms. Sanitation Duties
- Regularly clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, replenish supplies, and empty trash containers inside and outside the store. Outdoor Upkeep
- Keep the exterior of the building free of debris and ensure washer fluid and paper towels are stocked at fuel pumps. Deli & Food Handling
- Stock and maintain deli equipment, prepare fresh food items, monitor product quality, and ensure proper temperature control. Inventory & Stocking
- Receive and properly store incoming deliveries, report scanning issues, and notify the store manager of merchandise and supply needs. Compliance & Safety
- Verify customer age for tobacco and alcohol sales, follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines, and adhere to store policies. Cash Handling & Balancing
- Accurately balance the cash register at the end of each shift and verify totals before closing transactions. Professional Appearance & Attitude
- Maintain a well-groomed, clean, and professional appearance with appropriate work attire and hygiene. Team Collaboration
- Work effectively with managers and coworkers while maintaining a high standard of customer service, even under pressure.
