Job Overview Join our team as an Evening Shift Store Cashier and become the friendly face that greets customers, processes transactions efficiently, and ensures a positive shopping experience. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail sales skills, enhance customer service expertise, and contribute to a vibrant store environment. As a cashier, you'll be responsible for handling cash register operations, assisting customers with product inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help drive sales and foster customer loyalty during evening hours. Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit/debit card payments, and mobile payments Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and offering product demos when appropriate Handle cash drawer management with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and organizing products to ensure the store remains inviting and well-organized Upsell relevant products and promote ongoing promotions to maximize sales opportunities Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries or internal communication Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and conducting basic inventory checks Requirements Prior experience with POS systems, cash register operations, or retail sales transactions is highly preferred Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership in a retail environment is a plus Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and clearly Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising principles, and grocery store operations enhances performance Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations Experience in cashiering within a retail or grocery setting is desirable Excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation are essential for creating positive interactions Ability to stand for extended periods during evening shifts and lift moderate loads when stocking or organizing products Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels our vibrant store environment!
