The Watch Commander should understand the fundamentals of security management and possess the project management skills in order to initiate and track security related projects, business continuity, customer service, and effective communications. A sound understanding of HR and personnel related subjects are necessary. The Watch Commander reports to the Operations Manager. In this role, your responsibilities will be: Serve as the incident commander while on watch, manage and coordinate all security operations and programs in assigned area Oversee a team of Security Specialists, assuring compliance with post orders, providing training and coaching as needed Respond in a timely manner to emergent events, issues, deficiencies and client requests Initiate investigations and write incident reports as directed Maintain up to date and accurate records including timekeeping and daily activity reports Draft, amend, maintain, and communicate Post Orders as directed Perform other related duties as required As a candidate you must have: Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, political science, emergency management, or other related discipline or equivalent Five plus years experience in safety and security management or supervision, law enforcement or military, or security control room supervision Proficient in PC and iOS hardware and software, including word processing, data analysis, Lenel, Salesforce Complete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client requested certification; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer service Have flexibility to work any shifts on any day of the week (Mon-Sun) and willingness to assist the team when needed We offer: Health, Dental, Vision, and 401k for eligible employees Paid Time Off including Sick/Safe Time A dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunity for growth Security Industry Specialists, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
