The Field Director Role:
The Field Director will work with a team of 2-6 other directors to recruit, train and manage teams of local canvassers who go door to door and speak with targeted voters about reproductive rights. It is a full-time, salaried position. This is a campaign job with campaign hours. You can expect to work 50 hours per week. It will be all hands on deck so you should be ready to work long days, 6 days a week. As a director you would have a range of responsibilities, including: Training and managing a team of canvassers. You would train staff in the skills needed to be successful canvassers Set goals and hold staff accountable to performance metrics Maintain a positive, professional, and inclusive working environment Identify, promote, and train leaders Hold staff accountable to a range of standards and expectations, including performance, integrity, health, safety, and professionalism standards Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of work being done Canvassing Going door-to-door 2-3 days per week yourself. Leading from the front, leading by example getting out into the community, Developing town by town plans to reach target voters/constituencies Recruitment Creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all new staff Building the confidence of new staff through training and by providing context and answering questions Participating in the hiring and onboarding of canvassers Project administration Recording and reporting on office performance Administering canvasser payroll, ensuring staff get paid properly and on-time Tracking and monitoring campaign expenses Managing and distributing campaign materials Health safety and staff safety Ensuring all company health and safety policies and protocols are met Training staff on health and safety protocols Addressing health and safety issues as they arise Equity and Justice Foster a culture of equity and justice within the team Intervene in real time when E&J agreements are broken Build a diverse team where staff member feels respected Provide staff with the resources they need to succeed What we're looking for in candidates: Management experience and/or ability Cultural competency and commitment to equity and inclusion Goal-oriented, hard working, and resilient Personally accountable
Pay & Benefits:
