Job Description

Job Overview Join Friends of Donna Dye Sholk as a Political Canvasser and play a vital role in voter education, promoting Democratic candidates and getting out the vote. In this energetic position, you will be the face of our campaign, connecting with residents through face-to-face conversations, door-to-door outreach, and community events. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will help build trust, inform voters about key issues, and inform voters about Donna's platform. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the November election outcome while developing valuable skills in community outreach, sales, and negotiation. Duties Conduct door-to-door canvassing campaigns to engage community members on political issues and encourage voter participation Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, update contact information, and track campaign progress in real-time Engage in face-to-face conversations with diverse audiences, adapting messaging to resonate with different communities Promote community engagement initiatives by organizing and participating in local events and outreach activities Employ persuasive communication skills to inform residents about candidate platforms or ballot measures Collect feedback from community members to better understand their concerns and interests Maintain a professional appearance while working outdoors in various weather conditions, demonstrating enthusiasm and respect at all times Requirements Prior experience in field sales, canvassing, or customer service preferred; strong outdoor work experience is a plus Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person and via mobile devices; bilingual skills are highly valued Experience with community engagement, fundraising, or grassroots organizing is advantageous Supervising experience or leadership roles are beneficial for team coordination and training responsibilities Comfortable walking for extended periods while engaging with residents at their homes or community locations This paid position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to make a difference through energetic community outreach. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 40.0 per week
