Job Description

Job Summary Energo is seeking a positive, goal-oriented Solar Canvassing Team Leader, reporting to the Vice President, Solar division, as a 1099 Independent Contractor. . We are seeking a proven solar professional with a track record of generating appointments, training setters, and leading by example in the field. If you currently work in solar and are looking for more opportunities, stronger support, competitive compensation, and the ability to build your own team, we want to speak with you. Duties and Responsibilities As a Solar Canvassing Team Leader, you will be on the frontlines of lead generation and face-to-face human interaction. Your primary duties will be knocking on doors, setting appointments on the door, and obtaining information from the customer such as name, number, email, length of time in the residence, along with a copy of their current electric bill. Your main goal is to present an alternative to replacing their current power bill with clean renewable energy — solar. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Use public platforms to generate qualified solar appointments Develop and manage canvassing territories Use call, email, text, and other communications to identify the validity and potential of the customer Door-to-door lead generation and D2D appointment setting Represent the company in an esteemed and professional manner Learn to operate a sales app that tracks your whereabouts, location, and doors knocked Become proficient in how solar works Recruit, train and lead additional appointment setters while earning commissions off their appointments Hold team members accountable to performance goals Work closely with management to grow the New York market Job requirements Minimum 2 years of door-to-door solar sales experience required Proven history of generating solar appointments Leadership, training, or team-building experience preferred Self-motivated and driven individuals who can work in any weather or environment Excellent communication skills Eligible to work in the United States Read and write English Minimum 5 to 7 hours per day knocking on doors Thick skin (not afraid to hear 50 no's per day or get doors slammed in your face) Compensation As a 1099 Independent Contractor, you will earn an advance of $1,250.00 per week against commissions. Unlimited earning potential as commissions are not capped.
