Role Summary Spire Roofing Solutions is looking for motivated, resilient individuals to join our team as Canvassers. This is an ideal side hustle, summer job, or opportunity for someone looking to build sales experience. You'll spend your afternoons and evenings knocking doors, introducing homeowners to our services, and setting appointments for our sales team. Success in this role comes down to consistency, confidence, and the ability to stay positive when hearing "no." Roofing experience is not required, but previous sales experience is strongly preferred. Compensation & Employment Type Independent Contractor (1099) $100 per day base pay 1% commission on any lead that turns into a signed contract Typical Schedule Most shifts occur between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM Weekend scheduling may occur Hours may vary based on season, weather, and company needs Key Responsibilities Canvass assigned neighborhoods individually or with a team daily by knocking doors and engaging homeowners Generate interest in roofing inspections, repairs, and replacement services Set qualified appointments for the sales team Accurately record lead and appointment information Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing the company Meet daily activity and lead-generation goals Follow company canvassing processes and territory assignments Qualifications Comfortable approaching and speaking with homeowners face-to-face Ability to handle rejection and remain motivated throughout the day Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation and punctuality Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Previous sales experience is strongly preferred Roofing, home improvement, or door-to-door sales experience is a plus Ideal Candidate You enjoy talking to people, aren't afraid to knock on doors, and understand that hearing "no" is part of the process. You're competitive, dependable, and motivated by the opportunity to earn more based on your performance.
Physical Requirements:

Lifting and Carrying Weight Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment, often weighing 50-100 pounds or more. 2.
Climbing Ladders and Scaffolding:
Frequent climbing of ladders and scaffolding, sometimes several stories high.
Stability and Balance:
Must have the ability to maintain stability and balance while working at heights. 3.
Standing and Walking Extended Periods:
Requires standing and walking on various surfaces (e.g., roofs, scaffolding) for prolonged periods.
Surface Types:
May include sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces. 4.
Bending, Stooping, and Kneeling Regular Movements:
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to install materials and complete tasks. 5.
Use of Tools Manual Dexterity:
Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
Repetitive Movements:
Regular repetitive motions, such as hammering, nailing, and cutting. 6. Weather Conditions Exposure to
Elements:
Must be willing and able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, and rain.
Sun Exposure:
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. 7. Height and Vertigo Working at
Heights:
Comfort working at significant heights, sometimes on tall buildings.
No Fear of Heights:
Must not have a fear of heights or suffer from vertigo. 8.
Physical Stamina and Endurance High Physical Demand:
The job requires a high level of physical stamina and endurance.
Long Hours:
