- Part-time, Seasonal, Full-time, Contract Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Canvasser to join an upper echelon of the roofing industry that has been in business for over 30 years and is in the top 1%, with an annual revenue of about 10M.
Company has an A+ BBB rating, and handles all types of Roofing, Siding, Gutters, Decks, Insulation, Ventilation, and Trim. In this role, you will be the face of the company, engaging with communities primarily through door-to-door canvassing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop sales, customer service, and negotiation skills while making a tangible impact in the community. Responsibilities Conduct door-to-door canvassing, pitch, handle objections, prequalify, and schedule roof inspections Answer basic questions regarding who we are, what we do, and why we are here Utilize canvassing and other tools/software as needed and log all interactions, feedback, and follow-up needs to ensure effective tracking of progress Collaborate with team members to plan canvassing routes and optimize outreach strategies Demonstrate excellent customer service by addressing concerns with patience and professionalism while representing the company positively Requirements Must be open to canvassing in Northern, Virginia Roofing experience is NOT required. Training will be provided Previous experience in customer service, sales, canvassing, telemarketing, or fundraising is a plus Ability to perform door-to-door canvassing confidently in various weather conditions Excellent communication skills, including active listening and clear articulation of messages Discipline and consistency Grit and determination Demonstrated ability to work independently with initiative and motivation for community engagement Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
