Role and Responsibilities:
Table in busy outdoor locations and engage with residents of Richmond and the surrounding areas to inform them about The Nature Conservancy's mission Have face-to-face conversations all day Engage and educate the community about the mission and initiatives of The Nature Conservancy Encourage and inspire individuals to become recurring donors supporting the charity Represent The Nature Conservancy with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm at all times. Track personal performance and work toward weekly goals Learn and master core skills within the first 1-2 weeks
Performance Expectations:
This is a performance-based position with measurable fundraising goals and quality standards. Success in this role is evaluated based on your ability to consistently engage the public and inspire individuals to become recurring supporters. We provide comprehensive training, coaching, and ongoing support to help every team member succeed. Team members are expected to work toward established performance benchmarks that are measured over time rather than on any single shift. Qualifications:
A passion for social impact, environmental conservation, or related causes Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly Positive, motivated attitude with the ability to inspire action Ability to work independently and within a team environment Comfortable working outdoors and standing for extended periods of time Comfortable approaching and speaking with new people throughout the day Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented Fast learner who can quickly absorb systems and messaging Experience in canvassing, sales, or fundraising is a plus, but not required Must have a reliable vehicle Must be 18+ Important Information This is a field-based, outdoor role (not an office job) You will be outdoors, on your feet, and actively engaging with the public daily Must be authorized to work in the United States Must have a reliable vehicle Must be 18+
