+ Uncapped Commission Turn Your Construction or Home-Service Experience Into a Career in Energy Efficiency Are you experienced in construction, HVAC, insulation, home improvement, inspections, maintenance, or another residential trade and ready for something different? Home Performance Inc. (HPI) is hiring Home Energy Assessors to work directly with homeowners and identify opportunities to make their homes more energy-efficient, comfortable, and affordable. This position offers competitive base pay PLUS uncapped commission based on completed assessments — giving motivated Assessors the opportunity to directly increase their earnings through their performance. Previous energy auditing experience is NOT required. We provide paid training. If you understand how homes work, are comfortable talking with customers, and can work independently in the field, we can teach you the energy assessment side of the job. What You'll Do As a Home Energy Assessor, you'll travel to customers' homes and perform detailed residential energy assessments. You'll be the first person our customers meet and an important part of determining what improvements their home may qualify for.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting scheduled in-home energy assessments Inspecting insulation, HVAC systems, air leakage, ventilation, and other areas affecting home energy performance Taking photos, measurements, and detailed notes throughout the home Gathering and accurately documenting required property information Speaking directly with homeowners about the assessment process Explaining findings and recommended energy-efficiency improvements in an easy-to-understand way Entering assessment information accurately into company systems Ensuring required documentation is complete before submitting each assessment Communicating potential issues or unusual conditions to the appropriate team members Working with operations and installation teams to help move qualified homes from assessment through completion You Could Be a

Residential construction HVAC Insulation Home inspections Weatherization Energy efficiency Roofing Electrical or plumbing Property maintenance Home improvement or remodeling Field service Don't have energy assessment experience? That's okay. We're looking for people with strong residential knowledge, attention to detail, professionalism, and the willingness to learn. What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately document your work Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable working inside customers' homes Ability to work independently and manage a field schedule Comfortable using a tablet, smartphone, and web-based software Dependable, professional, and self-motivated Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment background and drug screening Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned territories

IMPORTANT

- Travel Requirements This is a field-based position that requires frequent travel. Candidates must be willing and able to travel and stay overnight as required based on program needs , assigned territories, and customer scheduling.
