Job Description

Provider Outreach Specialist(1099 Contractor) Medrocs Pharmacy McKinney, TX Job Details Contract $20 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Cell phone reimbursement Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications Route driving DME Pharmacy technician experience Route planning Schedule management Full Job Description Company Overview Medrocs is an independent pharmacy known for fast service, personalized care, and advanced support for chronic conditions and hormone therapy. We're expanding our presence with local primary care providers and looking for a sharp, self-directed outreach rep who can represent our brand with confidence, warmth, and professionalism. This role is relationship-building and provider education — helping clinics understand what Medrocs offers so they know us as an option when a patient could benefit from our services. It is not, and may not function as, compensation in exchange for directing patients to Medrocs; all outreach must comply with applicable healthcare referral and anti-kickback regulations, and we'll cover this explicitly during onboarding.
Pay:
$20.00/hr base (10-12 hrs/week, flexible) + performance bonus for new provider referrals , made up of: $25 activation bonus when a new or win-back prescriber sends their first script to Medrocs 8-12% revenue share of that prescriber's net script revenue over their first 90 days, paid monthly as revenue comes in Engagement type: Contract employee (1099). This is a paid-for-performance sales role, not a flat hourly admin position — top performers should expect to earn meaningfully above the base through referral bonuses.
Mileage:
Reimbursed at IRS standard rate. Personal cell phone used for calls/CRM — no device or phone stipend provided. Job Overview You will visit local primary care clinics, introduce Medrocs, build relationships with staff, and generate consistent provider referrals. You'll operate independently, manage your own weekly route, and use a simple CRM to track visits and outcomes. We're looking for someone who is friendly, confident, and comfortable asking direct questions, someone who can walk into a clinic, connect quickly, and communicate our value clearly. What You'll Do Visit 10-15 primary care clinics per week on a self-managed route (~15-20 hrs/week total, including CRM logging and follow-up) Build relationships with front desk staff, MAs, nurses, and providers Educate clinics on Medrocs' services, including compounded therapy options (creams, capsules, troches, triturates) Log every visit and outcome in our CRM (we'll walk you through it — it's simple) Run weekly follow-up on your highest-value clinics Aim for 2 qualified referrals per week as your core benchmark Who We're Looking For We're prioritizing outside sales / business development experience in healthcare over purely clinical backgrounds — this is a hunter role first, healthcare-fluency second. Strong fit if you've done: DME sales, home health liaison work, pharma/med device rep work, or similar field-based healthcare BD Cold outreach or gatekeeper navigation in any B2B sales context Self-managed territory or route sales Also valuable: Pharmacy tech, MA, or clinical background combined with comfort in a sales/outreach capacity Working knowledge of insurance basics, billing flow, and common chronic medications You are: A warm, direct communicator who can walk into a clinic cold and start a real conversation Highly independent — you plan your own route and manage your own time without hand-holding Organized and consistent with follow-up (this is where most outreach reps actually lose deals) Comfortable with a compensation structure where your effort visibly drives your pay Benefits Flexible schedule, self-managed route Mileage reimbursement Performance-based upside with no cap on referral bonuses
Pay:
$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 12.0 per week
Benefits:
Flexible schedule Application Question(s): This role pays a base hourly rate plus a tiered bonus per qualified referral, so your pay grows with the value of the relationships you build. How do you feel about compensation being tied to outcomes rather than hours alone? Describe your experience in outside sales, business development, or healthcare field roles (DME, pharma, home health, clinic, etc.). Walk us through how you'd approach a clinic cold — from getting past the front desk to securing a provider conversation. Tell us about a time you managed your own schedule, route, or book of business. What did your weekly rhythm look like?
