Position Summary The Membership Director is responsible for driving membership growth and retention by developing relationships with prospective members, guiding them through the membership sales process, and creating a welcoming experience that supports long-term engagement. This highly visible role serves as an ambassador for the club and works closely with club leadership to promote the club's amenities, programming, and lifestyle offerings. The ideal candidate is energetic, relationship-driven, goal-oriented, and passionate about hospitality and private club experiences. Essential Responsibilities Membership Sales & Growth Generate new membership leads through networking, referrals, prospecting, community involvement, and club events Conduct club tours and effectively present the value and benefits of membership Manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry through membership enrollment Maintain accurate prospect records and sales activity within CRM systems Consistently achieve individual membership sales goals and revenue objectives Develop and execute membership marketing and outreach initiatives in partnership with club leadership and corporate marketing Member Engagement & Retention Serve as a welcoming point of contact for prospective and new members Support new member onboarding and orientation efforts Foster strong relationships with members to encourage engagement and referrals Assist with member events, networking opportunities, and club programming Work collaboratively with department leaders to ensure an exceptional member experience Club & Community Representation Represent the club at community events, networking functions, and local business organizations Build relationships with real estate professionals, local businesses, and community partners Promote the club's golf, dining, fitness, racquet sports, aquatics, and social offerings to prospective members Serve as a brand ambassador for both The Palisades Country Club and Heritage Golf Group Administrative Responsibilities Prepare membership reports, forecasts, and sales updates for club leadership Maintain membership agreements and related documentation Track sales performance, lead conversion activity, and retention metrics Assist with membership communications and promotional initiatives Qualifications 3+ years of sales, membership, hospitality, business development, or related experience Private club, golf, hospitality, luxury service, or lifestyle sales experience preferred Proven track record of achieving sales goals and building client relationships Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems Ability to work evenings, weekends, and club events as needed
