Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Membership and Wellness, this position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Welcome Center Representative at the West Morris Area YMCA are passionate and enthusiastic. They intentionally foster a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, and nurturing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends. Provides excellent customer service to members, guests, and program participants. Creates a welcoming environment for all by greeting members and potential members warmly. Accurately processes memberships and program enrollments. Responds to inquiries accurately and thoroughly. Understand and promote West Morris Area YMCA programs Other duties are assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to speak and interact in Spanish (preferred) Ability to work additional hours (days/evenings) as needed. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Customer service experience preferred. Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
