Job Description

The Membership Associate/Dress Circle Lounge is responsible for greeting Met Members and Patrons, checking membership cards at the door of the Dress Circle Lounge, assisting members with membership and customer service inquiries and accepting new and renewed membership gifts. \n Primary Responsibilities Greet Met Members and Patrons and ensure quality of amenities/services provided in room for every Met Opera Performance Check or scan membership cards of all individuals entering the Dress Circle Lounge (each membership card admits 2) Collect Dress Circle Lounge guest cards (encourage guests to complete reverse side to support lead collection) Assist Met Members and Patrons with renewing memberships or with other membership issues as needed Provide guests with Met Membership brochures and ticket calendars as needed Report back to Patron/Met Membership staff regarding customer service issues and special requests. Additional clerical duties occasionally during shift. Skills and Qualifications Experience working with the public. Pleasant and professional demeanor. Proficiency with email, Microsoft applications and ability to use database for look-up. Physical Demands Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to read and recognize various membership cards and use scanner Ability to assist members as needed, calling upon house management, security staff and health unit as necessary. \n $21.50 - $21.59 an hour \n The Metropolitan Opera is an equal opportunity employer.
