Job Description
Member Services Representative I (Floater) Member Services Position Summary The Member Services Representative I/Floater will assist and provide coverage for all of the Meriwest Credit Union Financial Centers as needed. The Floater schedule can vary frequently, and this position requires adaptability based on the needs of the branches. Processes financial transactions efficiently, accurately, and with the highest level of customer service. Incorporates Service Plus into all aspects of member contacts and continually builds relationships with members in order to retain and increase memberships. Further enhances these relationships through the cross-selling of credit union products and services to meet all the members' financial needs. Meet assigned share, deposit, lending and referral partner targets. Support Credit Union in all Initiatives with a positive attitude and willingness to get the job done. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receives and processes banking financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Sells Cashier's checks to credit union members, processes credit card cash advances. Receives currency for coin and verifies amounts. Cashes checks according to written procedures. Properly identifies members and cashes checks according to written procedures. Analyzes member's banking financial needs and effectively cross-sells credit union products and services through referrals to Financial Service Representatives and Meriwest partners including Meriwest Wealth Advisors and Mortgage Company. Balances cash drawer daily to assure accuracy in transactions and notifies supervisor regarding any outages. Appropriately apply dual custody and security policies to safe guard negotiable items and currency. Researches, troubleshoots, and resolves customer and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices, and products. Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed, provide support for the department and branch managers in fulfilling customer requests and merchant verifications. Performs miscellaneous duties are required. Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
