Membership & Individual Giving Specialist Description:
Over the last 20 years, the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) has distinguished itself as one of the fastest-growing art museums in North America. Founded in 1799, it is also the country's oldest continuously operating museum. Under supervision of the Director of Membership & Individual Giving, the Membership & Annual Giving Specialist will serve as the primary support for the museum's fulfillment of all memberships, EIMA, and PEM Fund gifts. This role supports all annual programs including PEM Fund, EIMA, and Membership, as well as the relationship manager support. For Membership, the Specialist will be responsible for aspects of the database, gift transactions and reporting in the strategic development and execution of PEM's Membership and Annual Giving Programs. This role oversees the day to day gift entry, list creation and generation, transactional web pages, membership and annual giving progress reporting, and customer service needs. This role works closely with the Development Operations, Stewardship, and Events teams while serving as the primary support for the museum's annual leadership giving program, East India Marine Associates.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or the equivalentbination of education and experience with a minimum of one to three years of nonprofit fundraising preferred. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills with stronganization and time management skills. Ability to provide quality donor services, including written, verbal, and personal interactions. Proficiency in fundraising software preferred, particularly Tessitura, a passion for the arts, and a high degree of patience and attention to detail. Ability to be in the office 4 days a week with 1 day remoteis preferred. Occasional evening and/or weekend work is also required during special events. This position is a full time hourly role with the hourly range being $23.79 to $24.75mensurate with experience.
