ATFCU is seeking a professional individual for the position of full time Member Service Rep/Loan Processor . The qualified candidate would join a team-oriented working environment with a stable company (established in 1936) and an exceptional benefits package and 401K program. Our focus is on earning trust and helping members. Responsibilities Member Service Assist members and potential members in person, through electronic communication, and over the phone in all aspects of member service, including answering questions and solving problems related to accounts, products, services, account balancing, overdraft services, direct deposit, account discrepancies, debit cards, etc… Interview, explain, sell and open new accounts of the Credit Union, such as share accounts, checking accounts, money market accounts, share certificates, and IRAs. Offer and support various products and services, such as debit cards, direct deposit, eStatements, digital banking, bill pay, remote deposits, and internal and external transfers. Prepare and maintain electronic files and documentation on all membership and account records using the internet, an electronic document retention system, and other related electronic systems. Keep informed on the current Truth-in-Savings and IRA regulations. Ensure that all required documents are provided to members with IRAs, Share Certificates, and direct deposit; maintain necessary information and documentation to ensure compliance with Federal, State and IRS regulations. Process IRA transactions. Receive member questions and complaints on accounts; conduct research when necessary. Provide general information regarding credit union service or policies to those who inquire. Work/balance daily/monthly reports. Responsibilities Lending Assist members and potential member with the loan application process, including conducting loan interviews and gathering and verifying background information on applicants to ensure completeness of information. Assist members and potential members in person, through electronic communication, and over the phone in all aspects of lending, including answering questions and solving problems related to loan requests, accounts, products, and services, quoting interest rates, calculating loan payments, and providing values on vehicles, motorcycles, boats, motor homes, etc… Pull credit reports for all accounts, verify debts, estimate monthly payments for any outstanding debts not listed and add them to debts on application. Calculate debt to income ratios on applicants and loan to value ratios on collateral. Determine collateral needs and payment plans for members applying for loans. Work with Senior Loan Officers to gain loan approval or denial based on Credit Union approved criteria. Explain reasons for denial and explore options for members when loans are denied. Provide financial counseling for members where applicable. Complete electronic and paper loan documents and disburse loans on the core loan processing system. Implement new loan products and services in accordance with management direction. Process credit card renewals. Assist members with all aspects of loan servicing and modification requests. Assist the Asset Recovery Department in setting up payment arrangements with members who have past due loans. Cross-sell products and services, such as GAP and Mechanical Repair Coverage. Perform other duties as assigned for the smooth and efficient operation of the Credit Union. Interested persons should submit resumes to Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union.
